I have been a nurse for 22 years in a variety of forms of nursing, including Interventional Radiology, Medical- Surgical, Critical Care, Research, Quality Improvement, and currently Audit and Appeals.

As a Quality Improvement Nurse I became proficient in researching root cause analysis for causative events and close calls. Formulating my reports using best practice and evidence based, peer reviewed resources such as the CDC, CMS and NIH.   As an Appeals and Audit nurse I execute research into diagnoses and documentation required to clinically support them.  Ensuring that standards of diagnosis are met according to ICD-10 principals and rules.
